Really nice, solid, serious Japanese course

Im a linguist, language course developer, and language learning junkie, especially for Japanese these days, so I try out quite a few language courses. Im very impressed by this one, and highly recommend it if youre a beginner level student of Japanese who likes to get under the hood of a language as you learn it.

If youre the kind of learner who doesnt like a lot of explanation or grammar, you might not love Mirai. Its not the kind of course that suggests (incorrectly) that you can or should just learn by parroting.

If you like to understand how youre forming phrases and sentences as you repeat them (the better approach!) this is a great course. A lot of detail and little actual Japanese at first, but youre building a good foundation.
